Worshop 3 St. Veit an der Glan

We are pleased to share that the third workshop of the TECH-HEALTH project took place on November 20–21, 2025, at the Krankenhaus der Barmherzigen Brüder in St. Veit/Glan, Austria. As part of this Erasmus+ initiative aimed at empowering healthcare professionals with innovative 3D printing technologies for medical implants and prostheses , the event fostered collaboration among project partners from Poland, Spain, Austria, and Belgium.

The two-day program featured a deep dive into practical and technical advancements, including:

  • Technical Sessions: Participants explored the most common 3D printing technologies, materials, and software, as well as FDM metal-printing processes and applications.
  • Knowledge Exchange: The agenda included presentations on 3D printing in medical applications by guest speaker Pawel Michalec from FH Kärnten , along with insightful case reports from the FABLAB Madrid team.
  • Hospital Integration: The workshop facilitated a tour of the local hospital and dedicated discussions on the use of 3D printing in education and patient care.

This workshop marked a significant milestone in enhancing the digital skills of the healthcare workforce to improve patient recovery and promote independence.+2
